This is the most rockin' open mike in NNJ! The setting is a nice, cozy biker's bar (everyone is VERY cool there). Johnny Keys brings in all kinds of equipment and even tunes them up for you. Back line instruments include, Acoustic & electric guitars, electric bass, drums and electric piano/organ. Johnny also has a very elegant way of configuring the line up with all the available musicians. A regular collection of local musicians usually come out. Thanks to Johnny's efforts, EVERYONE gets to jam. Come on down! -Manhattan Rob (1/2008 openmics.org) Our open mic welcomes everyone from solo artists, singer/songwriters to full bands. Typically, we have a bunch of musicians who never played together form an impromptu band and launch into whatever someone has on their mind. One person knows the lyrics, someone else knows a few of the chords and what happens is sometimes magic... The full band setup almost insures that everyone will have a chance to play and with a few talented open mic regulars on drums, bass, etc., solo musicians can play with pro backup if they want.
