Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top Electric Guitar, Heritage Cherry Sunburst I played my friend's Epiphone Les Paul and I really liked the feel of the neck and the sustain of the guitar. When I decided to buy an electric guitar, the Epiphone was my first choice. I use it every week at open mic and, although I am not a great guitar player myself, but some of the guys that show up at the jam make this thing scream on the high frets.
I played some nice Gibson LP's and my guitar holds up to any of them AND the Epiphone Les Paul is noticeably lighter than the Gibson. I appreciate that wearing it all nite at gigs! The sunburst finish is really nice and the guitar has a good solid feel. All around, a good stage guitar and a great value.
